IN THE HOUSE: Peter Kan

Peter Kan is the kind of person who finds energy in what others might call impossible. As co-founder and commercial director of Audio Obscura, he turns iconic, often off-limits locations into electronic music and art experiences that feel once-in-a-lifetime. Peter is  constantly moving between vision, strategy and  execution. He is known for his forward momentum: always thinking ahead, always building towards what doesn’t exist yet. Outside of work, Peter balances that drive with CrossFit, yoga and music in all its forms (from classical concerts to psychedelic rock) to stay open, grounded and inspired.

At Audio Obscura, Peter is not just producing events; he is building a long-term brand and cultural platform. Moments like Underworld in the bicycle passage of the Rijksmuseum or the Highway Rave started as ideas that seemed impossible and became cultural touchpoints. Those are the moments he lives for: when a bold idea, a daring location and an audience come together in a shared emotional high. Peter is equally proud of the work behind the scenes. Learning from mistakes, staying self-aware and humble, even when things go well. For him, true success is a combination of cultural impact, emotional depth and sustainable commercial value.

According to Peter, "good collaboration starts with respect and genuine value creation. Brands should strengthen the culture they step into, not exploit it."

"My biggest drive is creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences that trigger real emotion and collective energy; moments people carry with them for years," Peter Kan.

What drives Peter most is creating memories that stay with people long after the lights go on again. He thrives when he can shape experiences that trigger real emotion and collective energy, and when he can build the structures that allow creativity to scale.

Good collaboration, in his view, starts with respect for culture and genuine value creation: brands should strengthen the worlds they step into, not extract from them. That is also why House of Treats resonates with him: it is a space to meet other creative and entrepreneurial minds, help brands do better, and connect in a way that feels meaningful instead of transactional.
